Sunset Whale Watch - Exmouth Gulf
/ Beginning of August to end of October - 2.5 hour total Cruise time

Ningaloo Reef is on the main migration route for one of the largest Humpback Whale populations in the world and the protected waters of Exmouth Gulf are a significant staging post and calving area for these beautiful animals.

Be enchanted by the mystical Humpback Whales as they rest in the Exmouth Gulf.

From early August to November the filter feeding Humpback Whales use the waters of the Exmouth Gulf as a resting point for the pods of adults and calves before they continue their journey down the West Coast back to their feeding grounds of Antarctica.

Therefore countless pods of whales in the protected waters of the Gulf are day after day, resting, playing and providing amazing viewing opportunities as they perform spy hops, tail slaps, breeches, pectoral slapping and bubble blowing. The abundance of Whales in the Gulf means we are lucky enough to have world class Whale Watching within sight if the Exmouth marina and in calm protected waters.

Ocean Eco Adventures has proven to be the most popular whale watching provider. We are known for our immaculately presented, stable vessel with its huge upper bow and lower decks and superior service. The gourmet platters, Canapés, sustainably caught Exmouth Prawns and light refreshments are always popular.

Our total cruise time for the evening is 2.5 hours (not including bus transfers), which gives you plenty of time to enjoy all aspects of the tour and move around the vessel to experience the different viewing platforms.

Enjoy a detailed commentary about Humpback Whales, the area and the wildlife seen on tour given by our very friendly and knowledgeable guides over the PA system on board.
